Electrocardiogram (EKG)

A quick and painless test that records the electrical activity of the heart. It helps detect irregular heart rhythms and other heart conditions. Ideal for evaluating symptoms like chest pain, palpitations, and shortness of breath.

Stress Testing

Monitors the heart's response to physical exertion, often through treadmill exercise or medication to simulate exercise. Identifies issues with blood flow and helps assess the risk of coronary artery disease.

Nuclear Cardiac Imaging

A type of imaging test that uses small amounts of radioactive material to evaluate heart function and blood flow. Often used to assess blood flow, heart function, and the extent of coronary artery disease.

Ultrasound Carotid Testing

Carotid ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging test that uses sound waves to create detailed images of the carotid arteries in the neck. These arteries supply blood to the brain, and the test helps detect any narrowing or blockages caused by plaque buildup. By assessing blood flow in the carotid arteries, this test helps evaluate stroke risk and supports early intervention in preventing cardiovascular complications.

Echocardiogram

An ultrasound of the heart, providing images of heart structure and function. It helps in diagnosing issues like valve disease, heart failure, and other structural abnormalities. Used to assess heart function, detect structural abnormalities, and evaluate blood flow.

Holter Monitoring

A 24-hour monitor worn by the patient to continuously record heart activity, capturing irregularities over an extended period. Useful for detecting intermittent arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats that may not be seen in a regular EKG.

Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI)

The Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) test measures the blood pressure in your ankles compared to your arms. This simple, non-invasive test helps detect peripheral artery disease (PAD), a condition where narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs. The ABI test provides crucial information about your circulation and is often used to assess your risk for heart disease and stroke.

Loop Recorder

A loop recorder is a small, implantable device that continuously monitors your heart's rhythm, helping to detect irregularities that may cause fainting or dizziness. It provides detailed, long-term data to diagnose conditions like arrhythmias and guide treatment decisions for improved heart health.
